Over Development = Higher School Taxes

Updated: Oct 28, 2019

Chester Heights is not an island our policies impact the entire school district. We rely heavily on development to fund our borough. Over 40% of Chester Heights revenue comes from development (permit fees, land development fees, transfer taxes). Sure It's keeping our taxes low in the borough, but that's only 2% of your real estate tax bill. The biggest part of your real estate tax bill are school taxes (84%). More homes = more kids = higher school taxes.
